Our story

AristoCraft was founded by Ben and Gal Stein, two brothers with a shared passion to educate. Each built a career in the High Tech industry, eventually realizing their passion was in teaching. Ben (PhD Physics Education, B.Sc. Electronics) lectures at teacher training programs and taught calculus and physics for over 20 years. Gal (B.Sc. Mechanical Engineering) spent the last decade as a woodworking instructor, specializing in design, modeling and creating unique solutions for mechanical challenges.

The Stein brothers draw from their rich teaching experience of 30 years to identify the most effective teaching methods. Having educated thousands of students, each one was viewed as a challenge, with a goal of motivating them and fulfilling their own potential.

Today’s generation is faced with a deep chasm between its fields of interest and the way its students are taught in school. Education has moved beyond simple knowledge transfer, and our understanding of learning has developed to meet our society’s need for critical thinking skills. Furthermore, our children are ‘screenagers’, who struggle with screen addiction and its consequences.

AristoCraft was founded in 2017, creating a team of engineers and educators with a vision to inspire, cultivate creativity and build a thirst for knowledge. In the last two years our models and pedagogical content have been tested by hundreds of children who help us perfect every aspect of our kits. Their smile of delight when they complete assembling a model says it all.

Our mission

As a family-owned business, AristoCraft’s mission is to provide children with tools crucial for their future success, which the traditional education system does not offer.
In today’s Information Age, rapid advancement means things are changing at exponential rates. It is difficult to pinpoint those professions that will disappear due to automation, artificial intelligence and computerization processes.

Almost all experts agree that the workforce of the future will need to adapt to continuously changing conditions, and be able to learn new things quickly and efficiently.
With this understanding, our products are designed to provide children with the most valuable skills for future success: self-learning, confidence in their own abilities and high self-esteem, as well as understanding the greater context of the science behind each model.

Parents can rest assured that our products were designed with great passion and detail, with no compromises made to their quality. Our kits are made of green materials and thick quality wood. Once assembled, your child will take pride in creating a robust model that can be used to inspire their imagination.

We believe that

  • Mastering self-learning is critical to your child’s future success.
  • A hands-on approach to learning is the most effective way to understand and remember.
  • “If you can’t explain it simply, you don’t understand it well enough.” (Albert Einstein). That is why we simplify every law of physics in our curriculum using the KISS (Keep It Short & Simple) principle.
  • Project Based Learning (PBL) is an effective way for kids to explore real world problems and understand the context of their knowledge.
  • The problem of “screen addiction” is real and dangerous, with serious consequences to our children’s health and social skills. Parents today struggle to find interesting alternative activities to offset the symptoms of screen addiction and develop valuable skills.

If you share in our beliefs and would like to offer your child an innovative, fun and engaging way to learn, browse our kits in the catalog below.
